When we started working in wholesale, we made the same mistakes that many sellers still make today. We trusted every supplier, chased high-ROI products, and rushed into listings without checking the details. These early mistakes taught us that wholesale only works when the system behind it is closely monitored and properly organized. We realized that stability doesn’t come from finding a winning product; it comes from fixing the common problems that businesses face every day.
Designing the proper Supplier Vetting Process:
One of the first challenges we faced was supplier selection. We used to think that any online supplier with a better price list is safe. But we found this as a myth as a seller, we experienced many suppliers who pretend to be a wholesaler of a brand item whereas they are not authorized to resell brand’s items. We also found some suppliers, selling discontinued items or liquidated brand stock at 25% off, which easily attracts new sellers to buy, but upon receiving customer complaints, sellers realize the severity of the matter.
To fix our workflow, we created a basic verification process:
- We always contact the brand to check if the supplier is actually authorized
- We always confirm the supplier website, business address, and communication quality
- We always make sure invoices match Amazon’s formatting requirements
- We always ask suppliers how they source their inventory
Once we identify a supplier that is legitimate and the products it is offering are authentic, we shortlist the supplier. By following some basic steps, our workflow became much safer, and we moved far away from the trouble, and this is where most sellers still make mistakes.

The Challenge of Choosing the Right Brands
Another common issue we faced was picking the right brands based on various factors, but not only profit margin. We identified this challenge from the very beginning, so we overcame this challenge by designing a proper business process. We started studying each brand carefully as:
- What’s the brand reputation among buyers
- How the brand behaves on Amazon
- Whether they allow wholesalers to sell on Amazon
- If they have a history of filing IP complaints
- What are their distribution policies
This helped us avoid brands that create problems for sellers. Most sellers still skip this step and end up dealing with account suspension issues.
How We Built Stability by Overcoming Business Challenges
Once we understood the real challenges in the growth of our business, we redesigned the entire workflow, which made our wholesale system stable was simple:
- Verified suppliers
- Careful brand selection
- Accurate listing checks
- Proper documentation
- Clear supplier communication
These improvements came from facing the same challenges we as sellers experience today. By fixing each step, we built a workflow that is stable, predictable, and suitable for long-term wholesale operations.
